The Greasemeister

Total Time: 10 mins Preparation Time: 2 mins Cook Time: 8 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 slices bread
  • 2 slices deli meat (i used cotto salami)
  • 2 slices cheese (i used provolone)
  • 3 slices bacon
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 1 tablespoon grey poupon

Recipe

  • 1 cut holes in the bread like you're making one-eyed egyptians and butter one side of each slice. cover a skillet with nonstick cooking spray and put down the bread. drop an egg into each hole, salt and pepper to taste and cook on high heat until the bottom half of the egg has cooked.
  • 2 in the meantime, fry the bacon in a separate skillet to your desired doneness.
  • 3 when the eggs have half cooked, flip the bread to briefly cook the other side for 30 seconds. flip it back over, put the bacon on and turn off the heat.
  • 4 now, put the deli meat in the bacon skillet and fry briefly. flip once and put down the cheese on the meat. as the cheese is melting, make sure you get as much leftover bacon grease and bits ontop of the cheese.
  • 5 when it has melted well around the edges and just a tad in the middle, use a spatula to flip the meat and cheese combo onto the bread, so the cheese is facing the inside (less cooked) part of the one-eyed egyptian.
  • 6 now spread the grey poupon on the deli meat, put the two sides together, and enjoy!
  • 7 also, if you want to make this a "healthy" greasemeister, you can use some weight watchers bread. it's only 45 calories a slice!
