Sour Cream Coffee Bread

Ingredients

  • Servings: 10
  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Recipe

  • 1 cream butter and 2 cups sugar until light and fluffy.
  • 2 beat in eggs, one at a time and mix thoroughly.
  • 3 beat in sour cream and vanilla.
  • 4 fold in flour sifted with baking powder and salt.
  • 5 combine 4 teaspoons sugar with cinnamon and pecans and mix well.
  • 6 spoon about one third of batter into a well greased 9" tube pan.
  • 7 sprinkle with about three fourths of pecan mixture.
  • 8 spoon in remaining batter and sprinkle with remaining pecan mixture.
  • 9 bake at 350° for 1 hour, or until done.
  • 10 remove from pan and cool on wire rack.
