Sour Cream Coffee Bread

Ingredients

- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 teaspoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Recipe
- 1 cream butter and 2 cups sugar until light and fluffy.
- 2 beat in eggs, one at a time and mix thoroughly.
- 3 beat in sour cream and vanilla.
- 4 fold in flour sifted with baking powder and salt.
- 5 combine 4 teaspoons sugar with cinnamon and pecans and mix well.
- 6 spoon about one third of batter into a well greased 9" tube pan.
- 7 sprinkle with about three fourths of pecan mixture.
- 8 spoon in remaining batter and sprinkle with remaining pecan mixture.
- 9 bake at 350° for 1 hour, or until done.
- 10 remove from pan and cool on wire rack.
