Sugar Loaf (a B M)

Ingredients
- 9 ounces warm water
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 1/2 tablespoons powdered milk
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups unbleached flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup sugar cube (read **warning** carefully)
- 1/2 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Recipe
- 1 add the ingredients (except for the sugar cubes and cinnamon) into your bread machine according to manufacturer's directions.
- 2 in the meantime, in a clean and dry plastic bag combine the sugar cubes and ground cinnamon. using the flat side of a mallet, crush the sugar cube mixture to a coarse powder. **warning**: you want the sugar cubes to be no larger than 1/16" in diameter or you could run the risk of jamming the bread machine mechanism if the chunks are too big.
- 3 add the crushed sugar mixture at the start of the fruit/nut beep cycle or towards the end of the mixing cycle.
- 4 watch the bread machine {{closely}}. once you pour in the crushed sugar cubes, be certain the sugar mixture incorporates well into the dough so you don't run the risk of jamming the beater.
- 5 baking time varies.
