Traditional Garlic Shrimp

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs shrimp, raw and peeled. no tails
  • 1/2 cup margarine (or butter)
  • 6 garlic cloves, fresh and crushed
  • 1/2 cup dry wine (can use cooking wine)
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 lemon (need about 1 1/2 oz. fresh lemon juice)

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2 for two pounds of raw, peeled shrimp.
  • 3 saute: one stick margarine (i use butter).
  • 4 with six cloves crushed garlic
  • 5 slowly, on low heat, heat the butter and garlic. do not burn the garlic !
  • 6 then
  • 7 add: 1/2 cup dry wine (can use cooking wine).
  • 8 1/2 crushed red pepper
  • 9 1 1/2 oz. fresh lemon juice.
  • 10 place raw, peeled shrimp in a 2 1/2 quart casserole dish and pour the sauce over the shrimp. cover and bake 20 minutes.
  • 11 you're done ! serve over yellow or rice or alone with plenty of bread .
