Ingredients

- 4 slices sourdough bread
- 4 ounces cheddar cheese, sliced
- 1 large tomato, sliced thin
- 8 large fresh basil leaves
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon fresh basil or 1 teaspoon fresh parsley, chopped
Recipe
- 1 place bread on a baking sheet and broil 1 to 2 minutes, on each side, to toast.
- 2 top with cheese slices and broil until cheese begins to melt, 1 to 2 minutes; remove from oven.
- 3 top with slice tomato and basil leaves.
- 4 in a small bowl, whisk together vinegar and oil; sprinkle over toasts.
- 5 garnish with chopped basil or parsley.
