Sour Cream & Chive Rolls.

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sour cream (i use low fat)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 (2 1/2 ounce) packages active dry yeast
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped fresh chives
  • 1/2 cup warm water (110f)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Recipe

  • 1 in a saucepan heat sour cream until very hot.
  • 2 add salt, sugar, and butter.
  • 3 stir till butter is melted.
  • 4 cool until lukewarm.
  • 5 in a large bowl dissolve yeast in warm water.
  • 6 mix in sour cream mixture, eggs, flour and chives.
  • 7 cover and refrigerate overnight.
  • 8 divide dough into 4 parts.
  • 9 knead and roll each part into circle.
  • 10 cut into 8 pieces.
  • 11 roll up from flat end to point. (crescent roll style).
  • 12 place on greased baking sheet.
  • 13 brush with egg beaten with 2 tbsp milk.
  • 14 allow to rise until double in size.
  • 15 bake at 375f 15 minute.
