Sour Cream Coffee Cake

Ingredients

  • Servings: 1
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 3 eggs, separated
  • 1 cup sour cream, dairy
  • 1 1/2 cups flour, sifted
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup nuts, chopped

Recipe

  • 1 cream 1c sugar and butter.
  • 2 add egg yolks and sour cream.
  • 3 beat until light and fluffy.
  • 4 add flour, baking powder and baking soda.
  • 5 beat egg whites until stiff and fold in.
  • 6 pour batter into a greased and floured bundt pan.
  • 7 sprinkle with topping made of 1/4 c sugar, cinnamon and nuts.
  • 8 dot with extra butter.
  • 9 bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour.
  • 10 allow to cool in pan for 15 minutes before turning out.
