Sour Cream Coffee Cake

Total Time: 1 hr Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350.
  • 2 cream butter, add sugar gradually, beating until very light and fluffy. beat in eggs one at a time.
  • 3 fold in sour cream and vanilla. add flour, sifted with baking powder and salt.
  • 4 combine topping ingredients separately.
  • 5 pour about 1/3 of the batter into a well-greased, floured bundt pan or a 9" tube pan. sprinkle with 3/4 of the topping mixture. spoon in remaining batter. sprinkle with remaining topping.
  • 6 bake about one hour.
