Stuffed Mushroom Appetizers

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 35 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 lb fresh large mushroom, any kind
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 cup seasoned fine breadcrumbs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • bacon, pieces
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • paprika

Recipe

  • 1 wash and dry mushrooms; remove and chop stems.
  • 2 set aside caps.
  • 3 melt butter in skillet; add chopped stems and onion.
  • 4 saute lightly; add breadcrumbs.
  • 5 cook, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes.
  • 6 add salt and pepper.
  • 7 stuff mushroom caps with sauteed mixture.
  • 8 arrange in shallow baking dish.
  • 9 garnish with bacon.
  • 10 in small bowl, combine sour cream, milk and ketchup.
  • 11 spoon over mushrooms.
  • 12 lightly sprinkle with paprika.
  • 13 bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
  • 14 serve hot.
