Stuffed Mushroom Appetizers

Ingredients
- Servings: 8
- 1 lb fresh large mushroom, any kind
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 cup seasoned fine breadcrumbs
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- bacon, pieces
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- paprika
Recipe
- 1 wash and dry mushrooms; remove and chop stems.
- 2 set aside caps.
- 3 melt butter in skillet; add chopped stems and onion.
- 4 saute lightly; add breadcrumbs.
- 5 cook, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes.
- 6 add salt and pepper.
- 7 stuff mushroom caps with sauteed mixture.
- 8 arrange in shallow baking dish.
- 9 garnish with bacon.
- 10 in small bowl, combine sour cream, milk and ketchup.
- 11 spoon over mushrooms.
- 12 lightly sprinkle with paprika.
- 13 bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
- 14 serve hot.
