The Best Pizza

Total Time: 2 hrs 20 mins Preparation Time: 2 hrs Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 2 3/4 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 (1/4 ounce) packet fast rising yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 1/8 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/8 teaspoon basil
  • 1/8 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup fresh mozzarella cheese, cubed
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (low moisture)
  • 1/3 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (low moisture)
  • pepperoni (sliced) (optional)
  • onion (sliced) (optional)
  • green pepper (sliced) (optional)
  • mushroom (sliced) (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 add ingredients to bread maker on dough setting.
  • 2 in a large saucepan, add the sauce ingredients and stir. cook on medium high heat until boiling, mix well.
  • 3 once boiling, lower heat and simmer 15-20 minutes to thicken the sauce.
  • 4 once the dough is ready, roll out onto a floured surface and let rise another 15 minutes.
  • 5 lightly coat the dough with oil.
  • 6 ladle sauce onto dough and spread evenly.
  • 7 top with all the fresh mozzarella cheese and 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese.
  • 8 add your favorite toppings and add the last 1/3 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese.
  • 9 cook in a 400 degree oven until the edges turn brown.
