Traditional Irish Bread

Total Time: 1 hr 10 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 lb flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 12 ounces buttermilk

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 425f (200c).
  • 2 sieve dry ingredients.
  • 3 pour milk into a well in the dry ingredients.
  • 4 blend and knead bread until smooth.
  • 5 place in warm dusted dutch oven with flour.
  • 6 bake for 20 mins at temperature, then reduce heat to 350f (180c) for another 20 mins.
