Sour Cream Biscuits

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sifted flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons cold butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon cream
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 450°f.
  • 2 cut butter into dry ingredients.
  • 3 in another bowl, beat egg and mix with sour cream.
  • 4 add to dry ingredients and mix lightly with a fork just until incorporated
  • 5 into a ball.
  • 6 roll out with a light touch on floured board to 3/4 inch thick.
  • 7 cut with cutter.
  • 8 glaze if desired by brushing with cream and sprinkling with sugar and maybe a little cinnamon if you like.
  • 9 bake 15 minute or until done.
