Spice Cream Pudding With Satin Sauce

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 cup soft breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup sour milk
  • 3 tablespoons meltd butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1/2 cup sifted flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon . salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon clove
  • 1/2 cup raisins, floured
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 3/4 cup molasses
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 pudding: combine bread crumbs and milk and mix with butter, sugar and molasses. sift together the dry ingredients and stir. blend raisins. pour in 1 quart casserole. bake at 350°f for 20-25 minutes. serve hot with satin sauce.
  • 2 satin sauce: beat egg and water in a saucepan until foamy. stir in molasses and salt. cook over low heat 1 minute, stirring constantly. remove from heat and stir in lemon juice and vanilla. serve hot.
