The Best Pie Crust

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cup butter flavor shortening
  • 4 -5 tablespoons cold water

Recipe

  • 1 mix flour and salt in large bowl.
  • 2 cut in shortening to resemble coarse bread crumbs.
  • 3 add water, one tablespoon at a time, until dough comes together and is soft but not sticky.
  • 4 roll out on floured surface. bake as per directions for pie. if you need a pre-baked pie crust, bake in oven at 325 degrees for 10-20 minutes, until golden.
