The Ultimate Rib Sandwich

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 rack of ribs
  • barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 vidalia onion
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese (more if desired)
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 loaf ciabatta, size of the rack of ribs

Recipe

  • 1 take rack of ribs and remove membrane from back.
  • 2 make slices on the under side of ribs along the length of the bones to allow bone removal after cooking.
  • 3 cook ribs as desired.
  • 4 carefully remove bones while keeping rack intact, if necessary recut underside along bones.
  • 5 carmalize onions in a sautee pan.
  • 6 mince garlic and combine with melted butter.
  • 7 slice ciabatta loaf in half sandwhich style and brush bread with garlic butter and lightly toast under broiler.
  • 8 carefully place rack of ribs on top of the bottom piece of bread.
  • 9 on top half place onions and cheese.
  • 10 broil in oven until cheese is melted.
  • 11 serve and enjoy!
