Spinach With Sardines (espinafre Con Sardinhas)

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 (8 ounce) can sardines, large size (guessing at weight)
  • 2 tablespoons onion juice
  • 2 cups cooked spinach, chopped
  • 1 hard-boiled egg
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • salt
  • 1/2 lemon, juice of
  • butter

Recipe

  • 1 skin, bone and chop the sardines; mix with the spinach, bread crumbs, lemon and onion juice, a little of the spinach liquor, the chopped egg and half the chopped yolk; season to taste.
  • 2 put in a buttered baking dish; sprinkle with remaining yolk over the top and dot with butter.
  • 3 bake for 15 minutes in a 350* oven.
