Scalloped Potatoes With Bread Crumb Topping

Ingredients

- 12 medium potatoes, peeled & sliced
- 1/2 cup sliced onion
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 cup cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
- 1 1/2 cups breadcrumbs
- 1/3 cup butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 tablespoons parsley
Recipe
- 1 butter 9 x 13 casserole dish.
- 2 layer 1/2 potatoes.
- 3 layer on all of the onions.
- 4 put on half the cheddar cheese.
- 5 put on the remaining potatoes.
- 6 melt butter over medium heat.
- 7 add flour and cook 1 minute.
- 8 add milk and cook until sauce is thick and smooth.
- 9 remove from heat.
- 10 add garlic, salt, pepper and mustard, stir until smooth.
- 11 pour on top of potatoes.
- 12 sprinkle with remaining cheese.
- 13 bake 375 degrees for 1 hour.
- 14 crumb topping.
- 15 mix together all the ingrediants.
- 16 put on once the potatoes are cooked.
- 17 broil for 3 minutes.
