Scalloped Potatoes With Bread Crumb Topping

Total Time: 1 hr 30 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 12 medium potatoes, peeled & sliced
  • 1/2 cup sliced onion
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups breadcrumbs
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 tablespoons parsley

Recipe

  • 1 butter 9 x 13 casserole dish.
  • 2 layer 1/2 potatoes.
  • 3 layer on all of the onions.
  • 4 put on half the cheddar cheese.
  • 5 put on the remaining potatoes.
  • 6 melt butter over medium heat.
  • 7 add flour and cook 1 minute.
  • 8 add milk and cook until sauce is thick and smooth.
  • 9 remove from heat.
  • 10 add garlic, salt, pepper and mustard, stir until smooth.
  • 11 pour on top of potatoes.
  • 12 sprinkle with remaining cheese.
  • 13 bake 375 degrees for 1 hour.
  • 14 crumb topping.
  • 15 mix together all the ingrediants.
  • 16 put on once the potatoes are cooked.
  • 17 broil for 3 minutes.
