Tava Chana ( Indian Spicy Garbanzo Beans)

Ingredients

- 3 cups cooked garbanzo beans
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tomato, chopped
- 2 green chilies, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon chat masala
- 1 teaspoon tandoori masala
- 1 tablespoon dried fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi)
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon ginger paste
- 1 tablespoon cilantro, chopped
Recipe
- 1 heat the oil on a tava and fry the onion until light brown.
- 2 add the ginger and garlic pastes and fry for a few seconds.
- 3 add the tomato, green chillies, turmeric, chilli powder, coriander powder,cuminseed powder, chaat masala, tandoori masala and fenugreek leaves and cook.
- 4 cook for 2 minutes. while cooking, sprinkle a little water if necessary.
- 5 add the garbanzo beans and salt and cook for a few minutes.
- 6 sprinkle cilantro leaves on top.
- 7 serve with indian bread.
