Tea Cakes

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 2/3 cups cake flour, sifted
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup shortening
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 sift flour, baking powder, and salt together.
  • 2 in another bowl, cream shortening and sugar until fluffy, then add eggs.
  • 3 add flour mixture to creamed mixture alternately with milk in small amounts.
  • 4 add vanilla.
  • 5 fill greased cupcake pans 2/3 full.
  • 6 bake in hot oven (400f) for 15-18 minutes.
