Tilapia Stuffed Pitas

Ingredients

  • 2 anchovy fillets, drained and minced (optional)
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup italian salad dressing
  • cayenne pepper
  • ground black pepper
  • salt
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 lb tilapia fillet
  • lemon pepper
  • cayenne pepper
  • salt
  • 4 cups iceberg lettuce, shredded
  • 1 small red onion, chopped
  • 6 pita breads, cut in half

Recipe

  • 1 mix anchovy and feta cheese and stir in mayonnaise, italian salad dressing, cayenne pepper, black pepper and salt.
  • 2 heat up the olive oil in a skillet over medium-strong heat.
  • 3 season tilapia with lemon pepper, cayenne and salt. heat the oil in a skillet and fry the tilapia fillets until they are brown on one side.
  • 4 turn and continue to fry until the other side is brown and the fish can be easily flaked with a fork.
  • 5 warm the pita breads in the oven or in the microwave to soften.
  • 6 fill the pita breads with lettuce, onion, tilapia fillets and plenty of feta cheese sauce.
