Turkey Burgers

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 50 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 ounce olive oil
  • 1/2 red onion, diced
  • 4 tablespoons black olives, diced
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 jalapeno, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup artichoke heart, diced
  • 1 1/2 lbs ground turkey
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 tablespoon parsley flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground sage
  • 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg

Recipe

  • 1 in a saute pan on medium to medium-high heat add oil & all raw vegetables & saute until translucent. remove & let cool.
  • 2 add veggies to (raw) ground turkey & mix thoroughly.
  • 3 add all dry ingredients & egg. throughly mix & form into 4 patties.
  • 4 cover & refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • 5 cook burgers on grill, in a saute pan sprayed with non-stick cooking spray or in the oven on a broiler pan until you reach 180 degrees.
  • 6 serve on a bun (with condiments if you like).
