Tuna Burgers

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup soft breadcrumbs (about 2 slices cut into tiny cubes with crusts removed)
  • 1/2 cup original bisquick baking mix
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon old bay seasoning (can use more depending on your taste preference)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 2 celery ribs, diced
  • 1/4 cup green onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup onion, diced
  • 2 (7 ounce) cans chunk albacore tuna in water, drained
  • 2 tablespoons margarine
  • sandwich bun, split
  • 4 -5 tablespoons dill pickles, dip to use if you eat them like burgers

Recipe

  • 1 in a med. bowl, mix all ingredients except abutter, buns and dill dip.
  • 2 let sit about 5 minutes.
  • 3 shape into patties (aabout 2 inches thick, but can make them 3 1/2 inches thick if you prefer thicker burgers but use about 1/2 c or less for each patty).
  • 4 in a 12 inch skillet melt margarine over med. heat.
  • 5 add patties to skillet when hot and cook 10-12 minutes, turning once until nicely browned on both sides and well cooked through.
  • 6 serve on a bun with the dill dip, tomatoes, red onions and lettuce or, you can place them in a casserole dish and cover them with spaghetti cause and bake them for 30 minutes and use them as a side dish for a meal.
