Turkey Loaf

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 50 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 1/4 lbs skinless ground turkey
  • 4 slices whole wheat bread, toasted and made into fine crumbs
  • 1/2 cup skim milk or 1/2 cup 1% low-fat milk
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350.
  • 2 spray an 8" x 5" loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  • 3 in a medium bowl, lightly beat egg .
  • 4 add remaining ingredients and blend well.
  • 5 shape into a loaf and place in pan.
  • 6 bake until browned and cooked through, 50-60 minutes.
  • 7 top with additional ketchup (optional).
  • 8 let stand 10 minutes before slicing.
