Spanish French Toast Torrijas

Ingredients

- 6 slices bread, french cut into 1-inch slices
- 3/4 cup milk
- 3 eggs
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 lemon, peel and juice
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 orange peel
Recipe
- 1 get syrup started by boiling water, honey, sugar, lemon peel and juice, cinnamon stick, and orange peel together for a couple minutes.

- 4 dip bread in milk; soak for a minute but so it does not break.
