Three Cheese Fondue

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 1/2 cups dry wine
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/3 lb swiss emmenthaler cheese
- 1/3 lb swiss gruyere
- 1/3 lb swiss cheese, appenzeller
- 1 tablespoon flour
- ground pepper
- nutmeg
- 2 loaves crusty italian bread or 2 loaves french bread
Recipe
- 1 grate or shred cheeses and mix with flour.
- 2 cut bread into 1" cubes (each cube should have crust on side).
- 3 cut the garlic clove and rub the inside of the pot.
- 4 place pot on stove and pour wine inches.
- 5 heat wine over medium heat until it is hot but not boiling.
- 6 add lemon juice and cheese mixture, stirring constantly with wooden spoon until the mixture has the appearance of a light creamy sauce.
- 7 add pepper and nutmeg to taste.
- 8 bring the sauce to a boil, then remove pot and place on a lighted burner on top of table.
