Tasty & Healthy Applesauce Bread

Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 cups unsweetened applesauce
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar (firmly packed)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1/4 cup walnut pieces
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350°f grease a loaf pan.
- 2 mix beaten egg with applesauce, oil sugars and salt, and combine thoroughly.
- 3 stir in flours, baking soda and baking powder; mix well.
- 4 stir in raisins and walnut pieces.
- 5 pour into well-greased loaf pan and bake at 350° for 55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in center of loaf comes out clean.
- 6 let it rest in pan for 10 min., then turn out and allow to cool on rack.
- 7 stores up to 4 days in air-tight container.
