Soybean Patties

Total Time: 21 hrs 30 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 21 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 cups dried soybeans, cooked
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 2 eggs
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped mushroom
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion

Recipe

  • 1 soak soybeans over night; change water.
  • 2 cook soybeans until tender the following day.
  • 3 mash cooked beans.
  • 4 sauté the onion in 1 tablespoon oil.
  • 5 add onion to the beans.
  • 6 add beaten eggs, bread crumbs, salt and pepper to taste; mix well together.
  • 7 form into small patties or balls and place in pan; brown on both sides.
  • 8 you can now serve your patties as is or you can put in a casserole.
  • 9 in a pan, in 1 tablespoon oil.
  • 10 partly fry a medium chopped onion.
  • 11 add the chopped mushrooms and sauté.
  • 12 add flour; stir and add milk.
  • 13 mix and bring to a boil, stirring until smooth.
  • 14 pour over patties, or soyballs.
  • 15 cover and bake at f350°f for 30 minutes.
