The Best Banana Bread (and It's Healthy! Ww Friendly!)

Ingredients
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup butter (softened)
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 4 bananas (medium, overripe)
- 1/3 cup applesauce (no sugar added)
- 1/3 cup mini chocolate chip
Recipe
- 1 set oven to 350 degrees.
- 2 combine dry ingredients.
- 3 in separate bowl cream together softened butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
- 4 mash bananas well with fork. stir applesauce into mashed bananas. stir this mixture into creamed butter mixture.
- 5 add flour mixture to banana mixture until well moistened. at this point i often let the batter sit for about 20 minutes in a warm area. this increases the yummy banana flavor!
- 6 stir in chocolate chips.
- 7 spray a bundt pan with cooking spray and lightly flour (loaf pan works also, but i definitely prefer a bundt pan, the bread cooks faster and more evenly). pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 40-45 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean, loaf pan takes 60-65 minutes.
