Strawberry Torte €“ Jordgubbstarta

Total Time: 1 hr 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • 32 ounces yellow cake mix, duncan hines
  • 8 ounces heavy cream
  • 1 pint strawberry
  • 6 tablespoons strawberry jam

Recipe

  • 1 bake the cake according to the package directions.
  • 2 let it cool completely before going any further.
  • 3 with a cake or bread knife, slice the cake in half crosswise and separate the two horizontal halves.
  • 4 whip the cream until soft peaks form.
  • 5 do not over-whip or the cream will turn to butter.
  • 6 hull and slice the strawberries.
  • 7 mix half of the sliced strawberries with half of the whipped cream.
  • 8 spread the strawberry jam over the top of the bottom cake layer, and then cover with the whipped cream and strawberry mixture.

  • 11 decorate the top with remaining strawberries.
  • 12 cover lightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to serve.
