Tender Popovers

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 50 mins

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs, room temperature
  • 1 1/4 cups milk, room temperature
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven to 450*f.
  • 2 in small mixer bowl beat eggs at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until light yellow.
  • 3 add milk, contiune beating for 1 minute to incorporate air.
  • 4 by hand stir in remaining ingredients.
  • 5 pour batter into greased 6 celsius popover pan or 6 custard cups.
  • 6 bake for 15 minutes, reduce temperature to 350*f do not open oven door.
  • 7 bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • 8 insert knife in popover to allow steam to escape.
  • 9 serve immediately.
