Tuna Cheese Melts

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 8 slices light rye bread
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tuna, drained and flaked
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 4 slices american cheese
  • 4 tablespoons butter, divided

Recipe

  • 1 combine sour cream and garlic salt and spread on one side of each slice of bread.
  • 2 in another bowl, combine the tuna and mayo and spread on four slices of bread.
  • 3 top with cheese and the remaining slice of bread.
  • 4 melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat and add two sandwiches at a time.
  • 5 lightly brown both sides of bread until cheese is melted.
